We understand sustainable living as a synchronization of Passive House benefits with environmentally-friendly living, economic advantages and a good quality of living – all this for the well-being of our guests. The Midori is committed to the Passive House standard as part of the sustainable ‘Green Building’ concept as well as further ecologically sensible measures for a cautious and gentle contact with the environment. The guests are greeted by a comfortably equipped house with an all-around healthy and quiet living atmosphere.

Passive House standard: The building is optimally insulated and uses regenerative energy sources such as geothermal energy through own probes, sun energy, and warmth radiated by appliances in the house. The intelligently employed thermal insulation as well as the excellent insulation of the triple-paned window areas does not only provide a year-around comfortable room climate but also more quiet for the interior space.

Innovative technology: The high living comfort is additionally amplified by a constant supply of fresh air through a ventilation system with heat recovery and by the heating and cooling of the ceilings that can be seasonally adjusted (Concrete Core Cooling – CCC). A further highlight in the Midori is the grey-water treatment plant which saves important water resources and reduces the impact on the ecosystem. A decalcification facility provides very soft water when showering, taking baths or washing hands. Simultaneously the sanitary facilities and installation pipes’ longevity is guaranteed and no aggressive cleaning supplies have to be used during maintenance.

Best materials. The usage of high-quality materials such as real-oak parquet floor and the best stoneware tiles in the bathrooms offer largely allergy-free living. High-quality and water-saving fittings are applied in all bathrooms. As it comes to the electronic system special attention was paid to selecting energy-efficient appliances and illumination. The lighting of the stairway and the hallways is carried out by using motion censors in addition with energy-efficient LED illuminants.
